Dallas County’s Mask Mandate is Upheld

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas County District Judge has ruled that Dallas County’s mask mandate can stay in place.

During her ruling, Judge Tonya Parker said that County Judge Clay Jenkins has shown that Dallas County residents “will suffer probable imminent and irreparable injury if he is precluded from exercising his authority” to require masks in public.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott had issued an order that banned governmental bodies from issuing mask mandates in the fight against Covid 19. Attorneys for the state could appeal the temporary injunction.

A hearing to review the order is set for January 10th.
