DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas County Republican Party Chairman Rodney Anderson is stepping away from his post.
Party Spokesman, Will Busby said Wednesday that the Dallas County GOP saw significant growth during Anderson’s tenure.
“Our reach has expanded exponentially and the party is aligned,” said Busby. “Volunteers are active and we have seen tremendous leadership from him.”
Anderson’s decision to step down comes after a promotion at his job that will require more of his time.
“We are sad to see the Chairman resign, but he is doing so to make sure the party is still in good hands with somebody who has the time to commit to it,” said Busby. “I think that really shows the true leadership of Rodney Anderson.
Anderson will remain chairman until a replacement can be selected later this month.
