Tarrant County Back to School Roundup Registration Now Underway

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Pre-registration for Tarrant County’s annual Back to School Roundup is now open.

Families must preregister for school supplies online. School supplies will be distributed at the Back to School Roundup Aug. 6 at the Tarrant County College South Campus, 5301 Campus Drive.

Preregistered families will receive an email confirmation admitting them into the Aug. 6 Roundup event and guaranteeing free school supplies. The person who preregisters is not required to attend the Roundup; the email confirmation can be sent with any person to pick up the school supplies.

To qualify for the free supplies, families must provide a valid photo ID, proof of Tarrant County residency (May, June or July 2021 utility bill showing applicant’s name and current address) and proof of income (must meet 2021 federal income poverty guidelines).

The annual Back to School Roundup is a one-stop event that offers approximately 10,000 underserved Tarrant County school-aged children, ages 3-18, free school supplies. The Roundup is a collaborative effort of the county, 20 area public school districts, the City of Fort Worth, public health department, state agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporations and volunteers.
