DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A newly released song is benefiting North Texans who are struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.

Dallas based soul band Prophets and Outlaws, and Texas Country music legend Pat Green, teamed up to raise money for local families in need amid tough and divisive times. Proceeds from “Little Bit of Love” are going to the North Texas Food Bank. Donations can be made here.

“We were thinking about how this song is bigger than ourselves and what can we do to just show a little bit of love,” said PAO drummer, James Guckenheimer. “We called North Texas Food Bank and asked them if they minded if we helped raise money for them.”

According to the band, the song’s purpose is to spread its title message, “a little bit of love.”

“I think we’ve all kind of forgotten and need to take a step back,” said Guckenheimer. “There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

The song was written by PAO front man Matt Boggs and George Dunham, morning host on our sister station, The Ticket. Pat Green joined PAO in studio to lay down the track.
