Plane Crash near Rockwall Airport Claims two Lives

ROCKWALL (WBAP/KLIF) – Two people were killed Thursday afternoon in Rockwall when a small plane crashed into a field.

According to the Rockwall Police Department, Officers responded to a report of a plane crash near the 1900 Block of State Highway 66 next to Ralph Hall Municipal Airport. A single-engine aircraft was found in a field just north of the roadway that had apparently crashed near the airfield. Police said First responders discovered two people deceased inside the wreckage.

It’s believed the plane  hit a power line, but Federal authorities are investigating what exactly led to the crash.
