Texas Workforce Commission Reinstates Work Search Requirement

Austin (WBAP/KLIF) If you’re receiving unemployment benefits in Texas, you have to start looking for work again to continue to qualify for those benefits. The Texas Workforce Commission reinstated the work search requirement on November 1st. The requirement which requires jobseekers to show three job searches per week was suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic. The TWC says if you take and pass a class on the Metrix Online Learning Platform it will count as one search.
