DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- Dallas County Health and Human Services reported both its first and second West Nile virus deaths of the 2020 season.
The first victim was a 63 year old from the 75215 zip code of Dallas. The second was a 88 year old from the 75227 zip code. There have been seven total reported infections and two deaths since tracking began.
Officials are asking citizen to practice safety precautions in order to avoid the virus. Including dumping standing water, using insect repellent, and wearing long loose fit clothing.
