Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Gulf coast from Corpus Christi, Texas to Apalachicola, Florida is bracing for the onslaught of two possible hurricanes this week. Tropical Storm Marco is paralleling the east coast of Mexico, while Tropical Storm Laura entered the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean. They should both be hurricanes by the time they hit the U.S. coastline.
Marco should arrive first, probably late Monday or early Tuesday, somewhere between Galveston and New Orleans. Laura will reach the coastline a day or two later, probably somewhere between New Orleans and the Mississippi – Alabama state line. Laura is likely to be the stronger storm, but each of them will be packing a lot of rain, as well as strong winds and storm surge.
