Dallas malls close because of looting

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Northpark Mall, the Dallas Galleria, and Highland Park Village all closed Saturday in response to a security alert called as a result of unruly street protests in Dallas Friday and Saturday nights. Mall managers say they’re trying to head off possible trouble in the wake of break-ins and looting of a number of Dallas businesses during demonstrations following the death of former Texas resident George Floyd while he was in the custody of the Minneapolis Police. The malls have not announced when they will re-open.
