Dallas police are trying to figure out what touched off an early Saturday morning shooting inside the Dallas Cabaret South near Walnut Hill Lane and I-35E. The first officers on the scene found a man in the parking lot carrying a rifle. They quickly determined he was not involved. They found a woman inside the club suffering from a gunshot wound. She was rushed to a hospital. The club’s security officers told police they had fired their weapons during whatever had happened in the club. They were afraid they might have accidentally shot the woman, but investigations showed they had not. None of the people who were in the club at the time admitted they had seen or heard anything, and the wounded woman reportedly is refusing to cooperate with police.
