Deadline to Register to Vote on Super Tuesday Ends Monday

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Anyone who plans on voting in the March 3rd primaries needs to be registered to vote by the end of business day Monday.

Texas is one of 14 states that hold primaries on Super Tuesday.

It’s a semi-open primary state, so voters do not have to declare a party affiliation and can choose to vote in the primary of choice on election day.

However, if a runoff occurs, the voter is locked into that party.

One of this year’s most heavily watched U.S. Senate races is happening here in Texas.

There are a number of Democratic candidates looking to unseat veteran Republican Senator John Cornyn including State Senator Royce West of Dallas.

You can get more information about voter registration at the Secretary of States website, votetexas.gov.
