DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Dallas homeowner was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly firing what’s being called a “warning shot” at Dallas Police Officers.
According to Dallas Police, the incident happened about 6:10a.m., Saturday morning On Oak Gate Lane. In a written statement from Dallas Police, officers said they were involved in making an arrest when someone fired a single gunshot toward them. The homeowner reportedly said she thought someone was trying to break into her vehicle so she fired a “warning shot”.
Though no one was injured, the homeowner was arrested for aggravated assault on a Public Servant. Tamika Dameron, Public Information Officer for the City of Dallas said via email “This remains an active on-going investigation at this time.”
