FORT WORTH – Fort Worth’s Medstar is collecting toys to fill their ambulance bus they call an “Ambus” with the big day of donations hoped to be Saturday. Medstar is offering tours of the Ambus to everyone who donates a new, unwrapped toy that will go to children who are currently housed at “One Safe Place”, a safe house for victims of domestic abuse.
Spokesman Matt Zavadsky says children this year at One Safe Place include babies to age 17 years. Medstar is offering tours of it’s Ambus from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, at it’s headquarters; 2900 Alta Mere Drive in Fort Worth. Toy donations will be taken through December 6th; a week after this Sunday.
