Grapevine Police Investigating Bomb Threat at Cross Timbers Middle School, Students and Staff Evacuated

Update at 5:00pm:

Students and staff were allowed back inside by lunch. Police stayed on campus after additional threats were received by the school. A threat was also received by the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Administration Building.

The district says additional officers may be on campus this week.

GRAPEVINE  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Students and staff at Cross Timbers Middle School in Grapevine were evacuated Tuesday morning police investigate a bomb threat.

The Grapevine Police Department’s Amanda McNew said someone called in the threat around 9:30 a.m. and officers immediately responded.

“Our officers are now going through the entire building checking for any suspicious packages and we’ve also called in extra assistance from the bomb dogs as well,” she said.

McNew said that everyone is safe and had been moved to a nearby training area.

Grapevine Police tweeted that parents can get updates on the situation on Grapevine ISD’s twitter feed.

Pool Road is closed near Irene Woods and there is heavy police presence in the area.
