Austin (WBAP/KLIF) – Governor Greg Abbott has found a new job for David Whitley, the man the legislature refused to confirm as Secretary of State. Whitley resigned Monday just before he was going to be forced out of office. He is now a special advisor to the Governor. Whitley’s nomination was blocked because of a bungled scouring of voter rolls in January.
