Texas Rangers Hall of Fame pitcher indicted for child molesting

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas Rangers Hall of Fame pitcher John Wetteland has been indicted on child molesting charges. He was arrested in January when he was accused by a relative of sexual assault beginning in 2004 when that relative was 4 years old.
Wetteland played with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos and New York Yankees before joining the Rangers in 1997. He was named the Most Valuable Player during the 1996 World Series when he played for the Yankees. He retired from baseball after the 2000 season, and was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame in 2005.
