NORTHLAKE (WBAP/KLIF)- The world’s largest tools and storage company, Stanley Black and Decker, is opening a 1.2 million square foot distribution center in Northlake this month.
Tony Creme Senior Vice President of real estate developer, Hillwood said this is a great location for a new center and will bring 300 new jobs to Denton County.
“We purchased this land because of it’s transportation access to I-35, 114 and Fort Worth Alliance Airport also because of the competitive economic structure in the town of Northlake and the labor availability across Alliance Texas,” Creme said
Creme said another reason for the purchase is because the combined tax rate in NorthLake, Denton County and North West ISD is one of the lowest in the entire DFW area.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Alliance Airport, Creme says the region has come a long way. “Back then it was only a 2,000 acre airport-centered development and it’s grown into a 26,000 acre mixed-used master plan community. Creme said over the last 3 decades it’s had an economic impact of almost $80 billion to the region has brought over 60,000 jobs and attracted over 500 world class companies. He said with another large company coming to Northlake, it will have an even bigger impact to the region.
