Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – There was a milestone celebration at First Baptist Church Dallas Sunday.
The historic church is celebrated its 150th anniversary with a colorful balloon drop.
The church has grown from 11 founding members in 1868, who convened at the Masonic Hall near Lamar and Ross Streets in Dallas. It has grown to some 13-thousand members, and a 135-million dollar downtown campus.
The historic church, once home church of the late Reverend Billy Graham is celebrating its 150th anniversary .
Senior Pastor Rev. Rrobert Jeffress tweeted Sunday, in part, “Today we recommitted ourselves and this church to standing for truth and righteousness.”

Governor Greg Gbbott was also in Attendance.
