Denton Police Department Seeks New Chief, and Assistant Chiefs

DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – The city of Denton announced the resignation of it’s Police Chief and 2 Chief Deputies

Chief Lee Howell is leaving to become the Police Chief for the City of Saginaw and Assistant Chief Scott Fletcher and Roger White are retiring.

Bryan Cose with Denton Police Department said City Manager Todd Hileman has met with them to discuss an interim chief.

Hileman is conducting a nation-wide search by Ralph Anderson and Associates to fill the Chiefs position and is hiring the Assistant chiefs internally.

Candidates should apply by July 27th. There will be an event for the public and city council to meet the finalists, It’s scheduled for August 30th and 31st.
