A Burglar at North Mesquite High School Leaves Empty Handed

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) -A Bizarre Burglary at North Mesquite High School Sunday night left several areas vandalized, but nothing taken.

According to police, a white male, between 20 and 30 years old showed up on security cameras around 9 p.m, outside the school. The suspect began vandalizing portable buildings before moving on to vandalizing offices, hallways, a vending machine, and the cafeteria inside the school.

Police are unsure about the man’s motivation for the vandalism or breaking into the school. Joseph Thompson with Mesquite Police said “the man also cleaned himself up and changed shirts while he was there.” The man triggered an alarm about 6a.m. Monday morning when he opened an exterior door. The man ran away before police arrived, leaving a stack of electronic items he stacked near a door behind.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 YOA, approximately 6’ tall with a medium build. He has brown hair, and a light beard. The suspect was wearing eyeglasses, and has distinctive tattoos on his arms, side, and chest.
