Mesquite, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – At around 5 o’clock this morning, a fire alarm was still going off at Fritz Industries in Mesquite after firefighters battled a chemical plant fire early there around 1am. The alarm sounded, “There’s been a fire reported in building D. Everyone please evacuate.”
Two employees were rushed to the hospital as a result of the blaze. No word on their conditions.
The Dallas Hazmat team was called to assist with the fire at the company off of Sam Houston Road.
No word on what caused the blaze. Fritz Industries manufactures a number of oilfield products.
