Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth based Lockheed Martin has secured a nearly 1.5 billion dollar deal to continue funding its F-35 fighter jet — this according to the Department of Defense.
A majority of the work will come from the fort worth branch, with the rest coming in Orlando, California, and the United Kingdom.
Last year, Lockheed and the DOD agreed to a deal that asked for the delivery of 90 aircraft. Military officials say this deal will reduce cost, maximize efficiency and help deliver the aircraft to meet the wartime demands.
