Midland County, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Multiple animal cruelty charges have been filed against a former member of a dog rescue group. 29-year old Carly Jo Underwood is accused of leaving more than a dozen dogs in an empty home.
The Dallas Morning News reports bankers found at least 14 dead dogs when they went to serve a foreclosure notice at the home near Midland. She was arrested when she got off a flight at Midland International Air & Space Port.
Underwood faces 16 counts of cruelty to non-livestock animals and torture. She hadn’t been seen in or around the home in about 8 months.
