Frisco Police Arrests Package Theft Suspect, Seeks Public’s Help in Arresting One More

FRISCO (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Frisco Police Department said it has arrested a teenager in connection with a series of recent package theft and they’re asking the public to help find a second suspect.

Investigators said 17-year-old Erick Gonzalez-Juarez on charges of a Minor in Possession of Tabacco/Electronic Cigarettes, Failure to Identify and theft under $100.

He was arrested after officers received a call about a suspicious person walking on foot near Stanford Avenue and Chapel Creek Parkway while other officers were working at a nearby apartment complex on car burglary case.

When they confronted Gonzalez-Juarez, officers found items on him that had previously been reported stolen.

Police said he’s also a suspect in several other car burglaries and package theft cases in the area.

The department said it’s releasing surveillance video of another suspect stealing a package from a doorstep in hopes of making another arrest.

Investigators said the incident occurred in the 12000 block of Belmeade Drive on November 30th.

The homeowner provided detectives with a surveillance photo of the suspect allegedly committing the crime.

Frisco police are also urging residents to protect their packages by adopting a few simple habits such as promptly retrieving your mail and packages, track your shipments so that you know when they should arrive or request that a signature be required upon delivery.
