(WBAP/KLIF) – TIME Money Magazine has released its 2017 list of The Best Places to Live in America. Three North Texas cities made the list’s Top 20.
For this year’s list, the magazine evaluated 2,400 places on eight categories: cost of living, economy, education, housing, crime, convenience, cultural and recreational amenities, and an overall sense of pleasantness. For the first time MONEY teamed up with realtor.com® to leverage its rich data and understanding of housing markets.
Allen is rated the second best place to live in the country, behind Fishers, Indiana. Grapevine is number 19, and Wylie is number 20.
“People are just noticing what we and Wylie already know,” said Wylie Mayor Eric Hogue. “That this is a great place to live. We are proud of our little 39 square miles of heaven on Earth.”
Mayor Hogue said his city is proud to move up in ranking after coming in at 25, two years ago.
