(WBAP/KLIF) – Moises Mendoza has been executed for the murder of a former high school classmate.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office confirmed Mendoza was pronounced dead at 6:30 Wednesday evening.
Court documents indicate Mendoza confessed to killing 20 year old Rachelle Tolleson prior to his trial in 2005. Mendoza took Tolleson from her Farmersville home, leaving her 5 year old daughter unattended. The child was found unharmed the next day.
Later he moved Tollesons’ body to a remote location and burned it. Court documents say he sexually assaulted Tolleson before her death, however he contested this
Mendoza’s execution was the third in Texas this year.
