Dow Tumbles More Than 1,000 Points

NEW YORK – (WBAP/KLIF) – Both the stock market and dollar are tumbling in value today as investors continue to weigh the uncertainty of tariffs and the new tussle of disagreement between President Donald Trump and Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

The Dow Industrial Average fell more than 1,000 points in early Monday trade, off 2.6%.
The S and P fell 2.66% and the Nasdaq, off 3%. The three indices closed last week in the red.

The U.S. Dollar index, measuring the strength of the dollar against six other currencies slid .9% to it’s lowest level in more than three years time.

Wall Street sliding after President Trump disgreed with Powell on interest rate cuts and on social media stated his “termination cannot come fast enough”.
