
(DALLAS) – WBAP/KLIF – Dallas Police have begun a series of community meeting to assure immigrant residents Dallas Police will not join ICE deportation raids, or turn in or report anyone in the country without authorization. Fear has been growing in immigrant communities about federal immigration agent raids, arrests and deporations, in line with President Donald Trump’s goal of “deporting millions and millions” of immigrants in the nation illegally.
“I need you guys to continue to call the police, to not be afraid to come out of your homes to go to work, to send our kids to school,” said Igo.
At least five meetings are planned; first one kicks off Wednesday and the rest run through February 20th.
