Airline Loyalty Programs Are Being Investigated by Federal Officials

(WBAP/KLIF) – Four major airlines including Delta, United, Southwest, and Fort Worth based American Airlines are all involved in a federal investigation. The Department of Transportation has asked each airline for a report on their loyalty programs. Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg wants to investigate the policies and fees of the airlines after an increase in complaints from frequent flyers. The four airlines have 90 days to provide that report to the Department of Transportation.
