(WBAP/KLIF) DFW AIRPORT – On Thursday, the flight attendants union was joined by workers from other airlines at its picket at DFW Airport. Flight attendants are asking for higher wages and better work roles, and haven’t had a pay raise since before the pandemic.

Last week the labor union that represents the flight attendants rejected a contract proposal that would have immediately given them a 17% pay increase. Instead the labor union opened a strike command center and told members to prepare to walk off the job. American Airlines stated that reaching a deal with its flight attendants remains a top priority and that the airline will keep negotiating until they reach an agreement.
