City of Carrollton to Become a “Four Minute City”

The City of Carrollton is working to become a “four minute city.”

They’ve partnered with Avive Solutions to for its 4 Minute City™ AED program which aims to put an Avive Connect AED™ device in the hands of a volunteer trained in CPR and AED so that they can arrive at every suspected sudden cardiac arrest within four minutes of 911 dispatchers receiving the call.

Device owner’s will get a notification that a cardiac arrest has occurred and will be provided with directions to the location of the victim.

Health experts say high-quality CPR buys time, and that in many cases only a shock from an AED can restore a person’s heartbeat and save their life.
