DFW Leading the Nation in Cutting Edge Business Technology

(WBAP/KLIF) — The Texas transportation landscape is expecting change over the next decade.

Technology is enhancing business throughout the world and more particularly in Texas. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the nation’s leaders in implementing cutting edge technology into the area’s business model.

Michael Savoie is a Full Clinical Professor of Operations Management at UNT

From the early days of Alliance Airport and the Intermodal facilities, the Metroplex has been on the cutting edge of advance technology. According to University of North Texas business expert Michael Savoie, air taxis and a drone delivery corridor are on the horizon. He says business and universities aren’t just talking about state-of-the art ideas, they’re implementing them. Drone deliveries, air taxis and autonomous freight trucks driving down North Texas freeways are right around the corner.

Savoie says technology will continue to define the Texas business landscape for the next 20 to 50 years. He also says the new technology will bring an entirely new demand for industry leading jobs to build and maintain such vehicles.
