(WBAP/KLIF) — Dallas County officially installs a new Elections Administrator.
A ceremony was held in Dallas County, Wednesday, as Heider Garcia was officially installed as the county’s new Elections Administrator. After being sworn in by Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins, Garcia provided what he feels is his key to running successful elections, which is implementing technology, transparency, and constant improvements. He says he already has plans to improve elections for the second largest elections department in Texas.
Garcia comes with over 20 years of elections experience and most recently served as the elections administrator in neighboring Tarrant county. Jenkins also praised retiring Elections Administrator Michael Scarpello, who he credits with modernizing the Dallas County Elections Department.
