Two Inmates Who Escaped From Fannin County Jail Back in Custody

UPDATE: The Fannin County Sheriff’s Department confirmed authorities captured Raymond Ross on Wednesday after he he attempted to flag down a driver near Bonham County High School.

That driver called 911.

Authorities said Ramon Perez turned himself into police in Bryan County, Oklahoma hours before Ross was taken into custody.

BONHAM (WBAP/KLIF News ) – The search for two escaped inmates who escaped from Fannin County Jail over weekend intensified Wednesday.

The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office said Texas DPS is working on an active search for Raymond Ross due to a possible sighting, according to KTEN TV.

The Office said Ross was spotted near Bonham High School.

The development prompted Bonham ISD to go on lockdown.

Authorities also asked residents to stay away from the area west of Star Street, east of Highway 121, south of Russell Avenue and North of Sam Rayburn Drive.

Ross is white, 5’11” tall, wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately.

FCSO said Ross and Ramon Perez were seen on surveillance video escaping the Fannin County Jail in Bonham just after 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Ross was jailed for evading arrest with a motor vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm and drug possession.

Perez was being held on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. He reportedly turned himself into authorities. The exact details aren’t immediately clear.

Fannin County is about 75 miles northeast of Dallas County.
