One of Four Arrests in Murder of East Dallas Man

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF)- Dallas Police announce the arrest of one suspect in the shooting murder of an East Dallas man who tried to stop his father’s truck from being stolen. 30 year old Alejandro Deleon is in the Dallas County Jail; police are still looking for three other suspect believed involved in the alleged theft and shooting of 24 year old Marco Ramirez.

Marco and his sister tried to stop the thieves; Dallas Police maintain Marco pulled a gun to stop the thieves, and a gunfight evolved in which he was struck and killed. The truck was recovered, but Marco did not survive his wounds.

The alleged theft escalated to a gunfight near 5300 Parry Avenue, when Marco saw his father’s truck and tried to stop the crooks. While an investigation continues, it appears Marco may have pulled a gun and fired at the suspects, which prompted them to return fire, striking Marco.

Dallas Police believe one woman suspect may have escaped with the other 3 suspects being sought; they ask anyone with video or knowledge about the suspects to contact them.
