RFK Jr. Campaigns in DFW as an Independent

IRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – Days after announcing the launch of his Presidential campaign as an independent candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Junior made a campaign stop in North Texas.

During a Wednesday rally at Dallas College’s Northlake Campus in Irving, RFK Jr. told reporters that he doesn’t hold animosity to Dallas, where his uncle, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated nearly 60 years ago.

“I think some members of my family feel that way,” said Kennedy. “But I have spent a lot of time in Dallas. I have a lot of friends here. I don’t bare any ill will against the City of Dallas. I love this city.”

RFK Jr. addressed a crowd of more than 100 people for close to an hour.

“I have Democrat friends who say you’re going to take votes away from Biden,” Kennedy said. “And I have Republican friends who say you’re going to spoil it for Trump. But I am trying to take votes away from both of them and become President myself.”

After his stop in Texas, RFK Jr. plans to campaign in Florida.
