TARRANT COUNTY – (WBAP/KLIF) – The non-profit, Tarrant County Blue is raising money for the family of fallen Arlington Police officer Darrin McMichael, who was killed In the Line of Duty this week.
The organization was started in 2004 and has raised over $500,000 for the families of fallen officers in Tarrant County. Tarrant County Blue co-founder Greg Morse says “we hope to raise at least $100,000 to give to McMichael’s wife and 2 daughters.”

The 24 year veteran of the Arlington Police Department was killed while riding his motorcycle to work Thursday morning on Interstate 20 and St. Augustine Drive in Dallas. McMichael fell off his motorcycle after slamming into the back of an SUV. He was hit by a passing vehicle that did not stop. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department is in charge of the investigation and is asking anyone with information to call 911.
