Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – TxDOT installed a new new pedestrian bridge over us-75 this past weekend.
The 201-foot arch will eventually connect existing bike and pedestrian trails; the Northaven Trail on the west side of 75 and the Ccottonwood Creek and White Rock trails on the east.
The 9.3-million dollar project was a long time coming for cyclists; Jeff Kitner, President of Friends of the Northaven Trail told WFAA-TV that there was no safe way to get from one side of US-75 to the other.
