FLOWER MOUND (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A Flower Mound teenager busted trafficking fentanyl was sentenced to more than eight years in prison on Wednesday.
18-year-old Stephen Paul Brinson, aka Steve-O, was sentenced to 100 months in prison and four years of supervised release.
Federal prosecutors said Brinson sold around 1,800 pills laced with the dangerous drug to middle and high school students in Carrollton.
He used his Instagram account to sell the pills marked M/30 to resemble 30 mg oxycodone.
Court documents show Brinson sold pills to Donavan Jude Andrews, the Carrollton dealer who police believe is responsible for the overdose of at least one 14-year-old girl.
During a search of his Brinson’s home, authorities found about 1,800 fentanyl pills along with cocaine, marijuana and two guns.
He’s the second defendant charged in the wake of the Carrollton-Flower Mound juvenile overdoses to enter a guilty plea.
So far, nine people have been charged.
