Arlington Police Break-up Largest Counterfeit Scheme in Department History

(WBAP/KLIF) — Arlington Police have broken up one of the largest counterfeit schemes in department history.

A Dallas man was arrested for running a high-end counterfeiting scheme out of an Arlington warehouse. Detectives have been investigating the web site business Creo Piece for most of the summer before conducting a raid that seized over $650,000 in merchandise. Tim Ciesco with Arlington PD says they arrested 35-year-old Oumar Dia for counterfeiting trademark items from high end brands such as Gucci and Chanel. Detectives recovered over 100,000 counterfeit items depicting brands.

Dia was booked into the Dallas County jail, however has since posted bond.
