
Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The National Weather Service has extended its Excessive Heat Warning through 8:00 PM, Central Time Thursday, August 10. It says north and central Texas will experience dangerously hot conditions throughout the day, with temperatures reaching 105 or greater, and heat index values up to 115. NWS forecasters warn the extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
That will especially affect the counties of Young-Jack-Wise-Denton-Stephens-Palo Pinto-Parker-Tarrant-Dallas-Eastland-Erath-Hood-Somervell-Johnson-Ellis-Comanche-Mills-
Hamilton-Bosque-Hill- and Navarro.
The Excessive Heat Warning includes the cities of Graham, Olney, Jacksboro, Decatur,
Bridgeport, Carrollton, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Breckenridge, Mineral Wells, Weatherford, Briar, Fort Worth, Arlington, Dallas, Cisco, Eastland, Ranger, Gorman, Stephenville, Dublin, Granbury, Oak Trail Shores, Glen Rose, Cleburne, Burleson, Waxahachie, Ennis, Midlothian, Comanche, De Leon, Goldthwaite, Hamilton, Hico, Clifton, Meridian, Valley Mills, Hillsboro, and Corsicana
