(WBAP/KLIF) — Tragedy strikes at a Texas military base.
The 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss has confirmed that one soldier has died and five others were injured, Friday, in an accident. The military indicates the incident occurred at around 9:30 a.m. in the base’s training area. No details have been released on the identity of the victims, however the Army did say the accident involved a tactical vehicle.
Senior Installation Commander Major General James Isenhower III released a statement saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the soldier’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time”. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
