(WBAP/KLIF) — The long arm of the law finally catches two North Texas bank robbers. After three months on the run, 47-year old Joseph Caddell and 29-year old April Curry were located and are now accused of attempting to rob a Wells Fargo bank just off of Interstate 820 in White Settlement in mid April.
White Settlement Police Chief Chris Cook says the case went cold until a tip came in on Monday, July 17th. A tipster alerted police that Curry was being held in the Johnson County Jail in Cleburne, where they also found Caddell. Cook says the incident occurred on April 14th when the two pulled up to a the bank and Curry went inside and gave a note to the teller demanding cash or “everyone dies”. The teller activated the silent alarm, causing Curry to get nervous and run out. She jumped back on the back of the stolen motorcycle and Caddell and Curry left without any cash.
Both will now face additional state and federal bank robbery charges.
