(WBAP/KLIF) – The Desoto Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding a young girl that went missing Friday morning.
According to police, 11-year-old Zakiyah Garett was reported missing from her home at the 500 block of Ray Avenue in Desoto.
She left home about 10:30 AM on Friday morning.
Desoto police say that Garratt is 4 foot 9, and weighs between 70 and 90 pounds. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time she went missing.
Anyone with any information on the girl’s whereabouts is urged to contact Desoto Police immediately.
UPDATE: On Friday at 11:30 PM, the Desoto Police Department confirmed that Garrett had been found, and was reunited with her parents.
