(WBAP/KLIF) — North Richland Hills and Winter Haven, Florida, have something in common that no other city in the United States has…a Peppa Pig Theme Park. Merlin Entertainments broke ground on the nation’s second Peppa Pig Theme Park on Boulevard 26, right next door to NRH2O, the city’s water park.
Peppa Pig was on-hand for the theme park’s turning of the dirt, which will feature multiple rides, interactive attractions, themed-landscapes, and shows. One of the rides will be “Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster” a thrill ride designed to be the first roller coaster for little ones. North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino says the 14-acre site is located at the former Mountasia Family Fun Center, across the street from Tarrant County College. Park General Manager Jeremy Aguillen says the park will begin hiring 100 employees later this year.
The Peppa Pig Theme Park is based on the globally popular television series and opens in 2024.
