Addison Kaboom Town Hits DFW for Independence Day Holiday

(WBAP/KLIF) — Close to 50 fireworks shows are scheduled for the DFW area during the 4th of July Holiday, but none bigger than Addison Kaboom Town on July 3rd.

For more than three decades the City of Addison has been know as “the little town with the big fireworks show”. Addison Kaboom Town takes place on Monday, July 3rd, and attracts visitors from all over the Metroplex. According to the City of Addison’s Mary Rosenbleeth, the show made the USA Today’s Top 5 Firework Shows in the Nation, rivaling New York city and Washington D.C.

Rosenbleeth says the fireworks take center stage, however the air show is also top notch with a B-25 Bomber, P-51 Mustang, and several stunt pilots. The fireworks show features 1,500 pounds of fireworks that are choreographed to music throughout the 25-minute show. It takes four semi’s to transport the fireworks to the show.

Addison Kaboom Town runs Monday, July 3rd, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with the air show at 7:30 and fireworks at 9:30.
