Plano Man Who Secretly Recorded Dozens of Women Sentenced to Life in Prison

COLLIN COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF News ) – A Collin County jury sentenced a Plano man to life in prison for secretly recording women in dozens of undressing and up-skirt videos, including the 15-year-old daughter of an ex-girlfriend.

45-year-old Darius Bradford was convicted of three counts of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Invasive Visual Recording.

Investigators began looking into him in August of 2022, after a woman called Plano police to report she caught a maintenance technician, Bradford, leaving his cell phone in her bathroom to record her.

Despite an attempt by Bradford to erase evidence, detectives eventually found 47 videos of him covertly recording other women in stores and apartment complexes.

Court record show Bradford has a checkered legal past. He has two previous arrests for invasive visual recording from 2008 and 2010.

The Collin County District Attorney said Bradford pleaded guilty to the burglary of habitation charges and asked the jury to determine punishment.

After considering all of the evidence, as well as Bradford’s criminal history, the jury assessed punishment at life in prison on each charge.

“This perpetrator violated the privacy of 23 different women on 47 different occasions by secretly recording up-skirt and undressing videos. He used his job to gain access and his manipulative personality to gain their trust, definitely earning him a life sentence,” said Collin County DA Greg Willis.
