Dallas Police Search for Suspect Allegedly Linked to Kidnapping of 7-year Oak Cliff Girl

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas police have identified a suspect in connection with an Amber Alert issued Sunday evening for a 7-year old girl.

Police are looking for 41-year old Leonard Lamar Neal on multiple charges including aggravated kidnapping, kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Early Sunday afternoon the girl and her 9-year old brother were walking to a convenience store in Oak Cliff when the suspect allegedly stopped to ask if they needed a ride.

Neal reportedly drove them to a Family Dollar West Kiest Boulevard and South Polk Street. The boy walked to the door of the store and, when he turned around, he saw the car drive away with the girl still inside, according to police.

The girl was spotted some 12 hours later around midnight walking near her apartment complex on Argentia Drive.

Meantime, according to WFAA-TV, the children have been placed in CPS custody after police discovered that they left their apartment while their mother was not there.

The Dallas Police Department is asking anyone with information on the suspect’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.
