Dallas PD: 7-Year Old Found Safe After Alleged Abduction, Investigators Release Image of Suspect’s Car

UPDATE: The Dallas Police Department released information about the suspect and vehicle connected to the abduction of a 7-year-old girl Monday morning, hours after the girl was found safe.

Investigators described the man who approached Lillie May Anderson and her 9-year-old brother as black, in his thirties with short dark hair.

He was driving a gray, crossover type vehicle with spots of color missing. Investigators said around 12 p.m. Sunday, June 11, the children left an apartment in the 1500 block of Argentina Drive.

They were approached by the man in the vehicle and offered a ride.

The suspect drove them to a nearby store in the area of West Kiest Boulevard at South Polk Street.

At around 12:15 pm, the nine-year old went to the door of a store, and when he turned around to come back to the car, the suspect left the location with his sister.

At 12:33pm, Dallas Police received an initial 911 after the nine-year-old was found by a witness in the parking lot.

As investigators worked to find the suspect and Lillie, an Amber Alert was issued around 6:45 pm.

At around 12:40 am, Monday, June 12, Lillie was seen walking up a sidewalk in the apartment complex in the 1500 block of Argentina and was taken to a local hospital.

No vehicle was seen dropping the child off near the scene.

Dallas police is for the public’s help to identify the suspect, and vehicle used in the kidnapping.

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Police Department has discontinued an Amber Alert for a 7-year-old girl who was reported kidnapped Sunday evening.

At around 1 a.m. Monday, the department said that the child was “located and safe.” Police did not provide any details about how and where she was found nor details about the suspect or suspects.

Additional details provided by ‘sources’ to reporter Rebecca Lopez from our media partner, WFAA-TV are that the girl and her 9-year-old brother were walking to a store in the 1100 block of West Kiest Boulevard early Sunday afternoon when they were approached by the suspect in an SUV. The suspect reportedly offered to give them a ride. Once they got in, the girl’s brother was reportedly “tricked” into getting out of the vehicle and the suspect drove off with the 7-year-old still inside.
