Fort Worth City Honors 12-Year-Old Hero

(WBAP/KLIF) — A 12-year-old Fort Worth girl was honored by the city for her efforts in saving the lives of her family.

On March 27th, 12 year old Jaziyah Parker noticed that something was wrong with her mother and siblings who were actually experiencing carbon-monoxide poisoning. firefighters arrived and found the family of 6 unconscious and vomiting. The were able to get the family out and to a local hospital in critical condition. All 6 recovered from the poisoning.

Councilman Chris Nettles presented the young girl with a plaque for her heroic efforts. The city also honored the firefighters involved in the rescue.
